Framed 19th century hand painted rose patterned wallpaper panel.
Brought to Italy in the late 19th century by merchants in Genoa, these wallpapers were recently discovered in a palazzo on the Arno River in Florence. The wallpapers were originally designed and hand-painted in China, and later used by the legendary decorator and set designer Renzo Mongiardino in many of his residential, theatrical and cinematic projects. These fragments have been mounted and framed to showcase their unique beauty.
